A new construction business required assistance and guidance to properly and legally fit out of new retail unit. This construction project required health and safety guidance from Sentient to ensure they were following regulations and building standards.

The construction business has strict safety goals that needed to be met. Sentient were required to develop a bespoke and unique health and safety package dedicated to the project, one that would include documentation as well as a site monitoring plan and regular visitations.

the solution

Sentient set out instructions as well as a timeline for visitation. Firstly, Sentient conducted a pre-construction Health and Safety review of the site. We visited the site to agree the site programme and safety plan arrangements with the construction supervisors. We then developed bespoke documentation for the site, as well as a management plan with a range of process forms. We instructed the site management team on how to utilise these to ensure the file was implemented correctly at the construction phase.

All safety measures were enrolled successful and the retail unit construction project exceeded safety standards.

The construction business’s project safety team commented on the positive safety culture present at the new site, and that they are monitoring the arrangements.
