We created and implemented a business continuity plan for a major manufacturer. It needed to be insurance compliant and also integrated into the business’s practices.

Our client, a long-standing textiles manufacturer, didn’t have a documented business continuity plan in place. Despite operating successfully, when posed with a BCP request for this from their insurers, they were faced with a challenge.

the challenge

The client approached us to support them through the entire business continuity planning process. From the creation of the plan, to integrating it throughout their business practices and providing it to the insurers, they leaned on us to take them through the entire process.

the solution

We engaged with the senior management of the business to establish a Business Continuity Team who were appointed to develop and implement the systems. Alongside them, we created a Business Impact Analysis and risk registers, followed by the drafting of a BCP which used the latest BCI guidance for managing incidents.

Once the plan was created and signed off, we then worked closely alongside them to implement the plan throughout the organisation.

We answered the immediate challenge of providing a compliant BCP for the client’s insurer, but not only this, we engaged positive attitudes throughout the business with regard to business continuity ensuring continuous improvement for now and the future.
